Re: On hold AGAIN!
Honestly...IVF is a serious time and energy commitment. I know you had forgotten to take your BCP's and apparently the RE must have told you to just wait for AF...as long as she is here it might be possible for you to go in for CD3 testing and start up again.
If that isn't possible at this point, you might be better taking the summer off. You had said in a previous post that you had a lot going on this summer...so it might be better to just take the time and get other things in order before starting IVF.
You can't forget anything when it comes to the injections and pills...
Also - I have to ask this...how do you work close to your house, yet in your house at the same time?

Re: On hold AGAIN!
sorry if this comes out wrong, but if you cant remember birth control pills once a day, I dont think you are ready for the committment of IVF.

Re: On hold AGAIN!
1st.. I amlucky with my job.. i work at a park well soon to be a park for the TOB.. I live on the grounds.. 27 acres.. my job is everything from taking care of the animals and seeing contractors, and officlas, paper work.. most of all i am the full time gardener..right now its just very demadning..
2nd.. when we started this whole thing we planned it at a time that nonthing was going on, work was slow, i had time, and my husband had time.. we werent ready to be put on hold due to the new melville office, and the problems with my dh's doc.. I admit that it was my fault for fogetting my pills.. i was so on track with everything for the past 6 months..this has been the only screw up i did.. and i havent stopped crying since.. My heart is totally broken for screwing it up.. i keep having the feeling that maybe i shouldnt be a mother... that its just never gonna be right, between the prices of everything going up, and my husband being close to being laied off, my stepkids, my job.. and a million other reasons.. but this is one thing that i would give up EVERYTHING for that one chance.. . and it hurts me so much that my friends and i guess some of you feel that i should even try right now.. i wokred to hard to stop and i put to much money to stop.. if it doent work than i will have to live with that.. I am sorry that some of you feel that i am taking advantage of the system.. and i am sorry you feel that way.. i just came on this looking for a friend thru it all. It hurts that you feel i should just be a quitter..

I think what everyone is saying is that an IVF cycle should be as stress-free as possible for the best chances of success.
It just comes across from your post that you seem to have a lot going on and posters are saying to wait a bit so that when you do do a cycle you are completely committed to it and get the best outcome

Re: On hold AGAIN!
exactly!! ALL I want is success on this board for EVERYONE.
But Im also honest to a fault and If it sounds harsh, I do apologize but forgetting pills during an IVF cycle is a HUGE deal....And I wouldnt want you to get further into this and not know how that kind of mistake can mess you up and basically cost you thousands on a failed cycle. KWIM?

Re: On hold AGAIN!
OK I'm going to chime in here. I have to be honest I got confused from your original post. Basically what is holding you up to start. You are waiting for AF. We all know too well what it feels like to not have this go as planned (and how defensive we get when someone suggests we postpone, even though they said it with your best interest in mind, though it may not feel that way). So, when you get AF, your RE is on vacation. I never see my RE when I am monitoring, so I want to help you. Can't you still go in for CD2 or 3 (depending on your place) and start your meds. I would actually go out an buy yourself a watch that you can pre-set alarm times to remind yourself to take your meds. I actually forgot to take a pill one night (actually took a pill but I was so tired I took my thyroid meds instead). I did wake 2 hours later in a panic and took it. And one night I almost forgot to do my night shots, but thank goodness DH reminded me. So, its possible to forget, we are all human. Luckily its only for 2 weeks (with the meds). If you feel good about keep going then you should. Anything is possible don't give up and throw in the towel if you are not ready to and don't beat yourself up.

Re: On hold AGAIN!
First off, don't get down on yourself. You deserve to be a mother. Don't ever think that you shouldn't be or don't deserve it.
Second, no one on here is telling you to be a quitter. They are only suggesting that you hold off a month or two until you are in a better state of mind and things are a little easier for you.
There will never be a completely stress free time but it just sounds that you are on overload right now. Nothing wrong with waiting. I wish I would have waited instead of doing my cycle this past January. I wish someone had told me to wait. I had just started a new job, it was right afer the holidays. It was just a bad time. If the pregnancy would have stuck, I would have had the baby in October. Not a good time. No FMLA, no disability. I really, really wish I would have waited for so many reasons.
I just did another cycle and the difference between the 2 was like night and day. I was in a different state of mind and even if it doesn't work, I know it was a good cycle and at a good time.
So please, don't get down on yourself. Mistakes happen. And don't think that the ladies here are against you. They are here to support you to make sure you have a successful cycle. Just take a minute to think things over. You won't have to do all your blood work over. It won't cost you a dime extra. If you had your cd 3 bloods done within the past 6 months, you won't have to do them again. Just think about it.

Re: On hold AGAIN!
Noone is calling you a quitter or insulting you. IVF is an extremely stressful and involved process. All anyone, including me, was suggesting is that you wait a few months until everything else is more or less in place before starting a new cycle.
I have learned the hard way that there is no point in doing IVF if you can't focus on it to the extent that you can write down all meds, go in for monitoring, etc. Having a lot of other things going on is very distracting and detrimental to the cycle.
