DTap side effect
Lukie got DTaP on Thursday that night he got a red mark around the injection site that is larger than a 1/2 dollar, it's also warm. I dont remember this with the other kids/shots. Is it normal?

Re: DTap side effect
DS always got a red mark around the shot site and sometimes it turned into a little bump around it too. Our dr said it was ok!

Re: DTap side effect
Yes, all of DS's DTaP shots gave him a red welt at the injection site. He had no fever or other side effects, just the welt. Doc said it was very common, not to worry.

Re: DTap side effect
I was ok with a small mark, it is HUGE. I can deal with that but it's warm. That got me thinking it wasn't ok but if you say it's ok, fine by me ty!

Re: DTap side effect
Our Ped said that for some reason in the summer, the DTAP produces a larger than normal red spot that is warm to the touch... if it continues past three days, they said to call..... :)

Re: DTap side effect
DD had this too. It was very warm and hot. It is a common reaction.
