Where do i buy these? Can I get them at CVS or do I need to get them through my doctor? Thanks

They are by prescription - so you need to go thru your dr. Make sure you ask about the side effects - I know a few people who love them - but I have met a few people on our past cruises who had some complications and problems.

not sure if you need those specifically, but if you are open to other suggestions, even though I don't get sea sick, I usually take Bonine just to be safe. It doesn't make me tired and you can still drink with it.

sea bands are also good- they go on your wrists--no meds involved

I have the sea bands and I usually take Ginger when ever I do anything that has motion. I have never been on a cruise and I dont know what to expect. I get sea sick, air sick, and car sick lol.

Re: Sea Sickness Pads for behind the ears
Get an Rx for the ear patches from your doctor. I used them on a cruise and I could tell from how the boat was moving that I would have felt pretty lousy without them. I know how I respond to motion. Then I recently used one on a flight and I tolerated the flight much better. I am not a nervous flyer, I just have motion sickness, so it made all the difference. I get very very severe dry mouth from the patches, though. There is always a place to get water or ice chips on a cruise, so I was okay. Also, get extra patches. I've had them fall off and one time I never found it.

ITA! I love bonine & have been using it since I was a child. It is non-drowsy & they disolve in your mouth.. I also want to add that they come cherry flavored

Re: Sea Sickness Pads for behind the ears
Just make sure that when you where them, you make sure that there is only one on at a time.
Quick story:
DH and I went on a cruise last year. I put the pad behind my ear before we got on the boat. That night I took a shower. On our way to dinner I realized that the patch was gone. So as not to get sick I put another one behind my ear.
I wake up the next morning and I can't see anything up close. I had to hold everything far away from me in order to see it. I look in the mirror and my eyes are completely dialated.
Thinking maybe I'm just tired, I go in the shower. I go to shave my legs and low and behold there is a damn patch on my ankle from the shower the night before. I get out and read the box. It says do not wear more than one and the side affect was may cause blurred vision. I took them both off and it took me 12 hours to get my sight back to normal. It's funny now!!

Re: Sea Sickness Pads for behind the ears
I was on a cruise the end of May, we hit some rough waters & apparently those patches behind the ears didn't work for a lot of people...(I don't mean to scare you- it really wasn't that bad I promise), I took Bonine which is great, no drowsiness like Dramamine and it lasts 24 hours. I also wore the sea bands & they worked great! Have a good time!

Re: Sea Sickness Pads for behind the ears
Another vote for Bonine!!! I always use that my first day on a cruise until I get my sea legs and always use it when I go on a smaller boat.
I don't think the Sea Bands do anything...My Dr told me to use them when I had morning sickness and did nothing...they just looked like I had sweatbands on my wrists.
