He does not like any, he likes Margaret, but I am not naming the net 2 kids after both of his parents! That'snot fair and I would like for them to have their own identities, the father thing I can understand (DH lost his father when he was 11)

Really? Are you Irish? If not, that's probably why. It's a very common Irish name, more so in Ireland than here. Maeve was an irish goddess/warrior and it actually means "intoxicating." Many people loosely translate as the names Mae or May in English.

I am Irish american (and half Italian) In general people think it is an odd name. I have met a few who know the Irsih Author Maeve Binchy.

We decided to keep our name a secret again until the baby is here to keep any unwelcome comments away & to keep some element of surprise.
