Long Beach PEOPLE.....
I will be coming to Long beach this weekend with some co-workers. Can someone recommend some nice cool restaurants?

What kind of food? there are sooooo many options!
I love Coastal Grill!! Good scene too. There are also places on Beech closer to the water that are pretty cool too...

Okay for Italian you can go to Sugo (good food, funky atmosphere), Caffe Laguna (my wife loves it there), Matteos (I've never been but I hear good things), or Nick DiAngelos (a perrenial favorite). Those are all the Italian places I can think of. The rest are smaller pizzerias w/ dining rooms, etc.

DO NOT go to Matteos, it's not even called Matteos anymore so i heard.
Nick D'Angelos is great!
I really like Duke Falcons too, small and very eclectic menu, something for everyone!

these were our 2 favorite places
Duke Falcons is SMALL- so make a reservation
I woud make one for either place- NicK D takes one for more then 6 people

East End of LB: big fan of Coastal Grill myself.. Nick D's is also great and they have a separate bar room with music if you do have to wait.
West End- Cafe Laguna is pretty good- havent been there in awhile. some outdoor seating as well.

2 minutes from LB is Peter's Clam Bar in Island Park, as well as some Jordan's Lobsters for yummy sea food
