Re: Where did your baby's name come from?
We picked ours while we were at an Allmans Brothers Band show at Jones Beach. It was a name we were thinking about already and had talked about that very day. So when the Allmans came out to do their encore and played the song whose title is this name, we knew it was fate.

Re: Where did your baby's name come from?
We are still on the fence about 's name, but his first name will either be after the place in Ireland where my grandmother is from or just a name that we both really like.
His middle name will either be my late grandfather's name or my DH's grandmother's maiden name.

Re: Where did your baby's name come from?
DH is polish (south/central) I am german (originally 1/2 bavarian, 1/2 silesian... which while german ethnically, is now predominantly in south west poland)
Eryk: the first name is the polsih spelling of eric, a common name given in germany.. therefore the blend of the 2 is rather silesian
Heinrich: an old-school yet contemporary name of germanic origin. It's also in honor of my dad (the bavarian side) who was born in NYC and named the americanized version (Henry).

Re: Where did your baby's name come from?
Now that we know the sex, we picked a name. I had seen someone on tv years ago with a form of the name, always liked it and then we searched online for more info about the name. Then we made our decision.

is named after his father and my father her name is a name I loved for a really long time. Her middle name will be after my grandmother but I am nont sure whether to leave the spelling or americanize it.

Re: Where did your baby's name come from?
My grandmother calls all her grand daughters her "Jewels" so I am naming "Julia." She will be my jewel.
"Jewel" or "Julz" will be her nicknames.

cole bennett
cole is a form of my dad's name and bennett we found on babynames.com. it means blessed and my DS was a preemie and a fighter to have made it through his first few weeks without many residual health problems, so it fit!
