8/8 - Larry is being sent home today and they are setting up hospice care for him at home since my sister isn't able to continue working and giving him the care that he needs at this point.
The whole situation makes me so sad. She is my half-sister, from my dad's first marriage. But my mom and dad got married when she was 2.5 years old. Her biological mom had deserted them when she was an infant. My mom completely raised her, and we weren't raised as half-siblings, but as regular whole siblings. She has had such a bumpy life. Sooooo many issues from her childhood, got into a lot of trouble as a teenager. She is in her late 30s now and finally started to figure things out. Larry is her 2nd husband. She married in her 20s and was severely physically abused. She had numberous miscarriages because of the abuse of her ex-husband. She and Larry have been together now for over 10 years, and they are happy together, and balance eachother out. He is such a sweet, caring person. It makes me so sad that she finally got her life together, found someone who makes her happy and treats her right...and now this.
Please keep them in your prayers. I can't imagine my sister when she looses him. It will tear her apart.
