I am always sore...what's up??

I do squats, lunges, and a few other lower body strength training things one day a week. I do two reps of 15.

I do these on Monday, and I am ALWAYS very sore Tues and Wed and sometimes even Thursday.

Why is this, I do them every week with Zero weight, just my own body resistance...shouldn't my body start getting used to this?

I'm not a personal trainer, so I'm not 100% sure why... but are you sure you are in the correct form? Sometimes I have the wrong form when I strength train and my trainer has corrected me because of fear that I'll hurt myself.

Also, if I don't get in strength training more then once a week I get sore. I currently do 2x a week and I don't get sore. Maybe instead of one day a week try 2 days... or incorporate lunges/squats into other workouts to get used to it.

If you're only doing this once a week, you need to step it up, you're body is not getting used to it. Make sure you are stretching before and after and especially the days when you are sore - even if it's uncomfortable.

Scheduling a session with a trainer may not be a bad idea, even if it's just one, you can ask them to teach you the proper form for a few exercises.
