Sippy Cups Spin off

Who used ones with straws and who used ones without straws? Which do you like better? Is there a reason or am I just going crazy about nothing? TIA!

Re: Sippy Cups Spin off

We use both, I don't think one is really better than the other.

Re: Sippy Cups Spin off

We started off with the Nuby one with the straw, and my son LOVED it. But then I found out that it wasnt BPA free, so I switched him to the Nuby one without the straw, and also to the First Year Disposable ones. I have to say, I liked the one with the straw the best, even though it was a pain to clean.

Re: Sippy Cups Spin off

DD never liked the sippy cups (no straws) and would only drink from straw cups so thats what we've used since 9 mths. (she iis 25 mths now)

Re: Sippy Cups Spin off

DD uses Nuby sippy cups. I tried the straw one and DD didn't know what to do with it.

I have tried the ones with straws, but DD prefers the ones without so that is what we use

Re: Sippy Cups Spin off

Only straws. DS didn't like sippy cups, only straw cups, and DD started stealing DS's straw cups as soon as she was mobile.

I also figured that they will be using straws for the rest of their lives, so we might as well just get them used to a straw rather than adding additional transitions for them.

The Nubys with the straw arent BPA free..the other ones are...I am going to try to post a pic.

ETA: I just found this one their website...do you think this means that all of their products are BPA free now?

Over the past few years there has been a significant amount of media reports focusing on Bisphenol A (BPA) found in baby bottles andother polycarbonate feeding equipment. Polycarbonate is used in thousands of consumer products worldwide and has been the most widely used raw material in baby bottles for many years.

Many scientific studies have been carried out. Although the amount of BPA in polycarbonate bottles is below the level known to be harmful, we have decided to have 100% BPA free feeding products in our Nûby range. This way we hope to eliminate all potential risks or doubts and offer you, as a parent, a safe alternative.

Re: Sippy Cups Spin off

I hate cleaning milk out of the ones with the straws. It's so gross. So we stick to the regular ones & we've gone up with the stages- so at 2 years old, DD is on the kind with no real spout, just the hole in the rim- stage 3, I think?? She can also drink out of a straw and out of a regular glass, but it's very messy!
