Its happening again
I posted last week about some bleeding I was having after sex. That lasted only a day or less. But last night it started again. It is very brown and just a little but still it has me worried because this time it was not caused by sex. I have an appointment to see my Dr next week. That was the earliest I can get. The nurse told me not to worry too much. But I am. Any advise?

Re: Its happening again
spotting in early pregnancy is normal. I would say as long as you are no cramping, you should be fine. I know it's hard not to worry.

Re: Its happening again
I had a bleeding scare (red blood) at 11 weeks. The doctor had no idea why, but everything was fine. Bleeding is very common in the first trimester. It can be due to sex, straining when going to the bathroom, or a variety of other reasons. Try to relax and drink a lot of water, which can help calm an irritated cervix.

Re: Its happening again
I had a bleeding scare, bright red blood with clots period heavy, around 12 weeks.
Everythgin was fine with baby and my placenta. I was told that my cervix was irritated most likely from the vomiting from my MS and that is what caused the bleeeding.
Spotting brown, old blood, is better than red and is very common in early pregnancy!

Re: Its happening again
My OB told me that brown blood is actually caused by something that happened 3-4 days prior, so even though you may not have done that today or yesterday, it can be from a few days before....Try not to worry if you can- they told me brown is generally not a big concern

Re: Its happening again
it's common, yet stressful. brown is definitely better than red... I had red at 5.5 weeks and was still fine.
Definitely call your OB ASAP if you get cramping, though.
The only advice I can give is to drink a lot of water, and don't overexert yourself. no lifting, exercise.... try to lay low until your Dr's appt.

Re: Its happening again
At 5 weeks, I had some bleeding that have me a huge scare. The doctors told me that it is normal to have spotting throughout the first trimester.
I've had very slight brown discharge here and there. I'm not concerned at all.
Try not to worry.

Re: Its happening again
try not to worry too much. I had two instances of very light spotting not related to anything early one and everything was fine.

I spotted a few times very early on. I called the doctor and they said not to worry unless it heavy bleeding and red.
