Pregnancy Leave
I am thinking about getting pregnant, what is the law on the amount of leave time you get in NY?
I tried to google it and can't find it.

6 weeks for a vaginal delivery
8 weeks for a c-section
NYS pays $34 a day
depending on the size of your company and how long you've been there you may be eligible for FMLA which is 12 weeks of UNPAID job protected leave.

you get 6-8 weeks disability (8 weeks for cessarian birth) and receive $170/week.... With the FMLA, you're entitled to something like 3 mo unpaid leave.
none the less, I can't afford unpaid leave  so that's not an issue for me.

NYS does not give you much. Your company may have their own policy on maternity/disability benefits. The best place for you to get info on this is to talk to you HR dept. If you don't want anyone to know that you are TTC, then maybe you can find some info in your employee handbook.
