Dear BioMom...
Thank you so much for once again turning my week upside down...
I realize that DSD wanted to go to the beach yesterday with her friends. I realize that changing DHs visitation by one day isnt a big deal. Of course he is going to say it's OK b/c he wants to see his girls...of course Im going to say it's OK b/c he wants to see his girls...
BUT...
The thing is that we had stuff to do today so we could do other stuff over the weekend..Now we cant do that stuff and all of our plans are pushed back...AGAIN.
And dont tell me again that I dont understand b/c I do...I dont do this to my girls father...if they are invited somewhere on Daddies time they have to ask him if they can go. I dont tell him when they have already left what the deal is...

DH ex does this all the time ,,
The best with us is that she NEVER is even with the kids..
one is 15 the other is 8..
her mom lives across the street from her , they eat @ g mas , they are always there . just last week, they were all over aunts uncles sleep overs etc,,they basically came home friday & saturday she is calling us telling us , I need a break can you get the kids sooner than 5pm ( when we get them )  meanwhile you havent spent more than 5 min wit your boys,,
keep in mind, my dh is NOT a every other weekend dad, We get them on thrusdays thru sundays. whihc i trully dont mind at all, less aggravtiong from the x.. usless to us & them

See the funny thing is that I am in fact a "biomom" too...
Now Im sure my ex has plenty to say about me but when it comes to the visitation we both respect each others time with the kids and we dont make plans for them...or allow them to make plans..without checking with the other one first!!!!

the difference is that you and your ex put the children first, which is commendable and hardly ever done by many others in our position. hope it gets better

I hear you loud & clear. My Dh has finally stopped getting worked up or offended that DSD14 doesn't "want" to spend much time with him anymore. He never pressures her or tells her she has to.
For years our entire social life & our family time(because we never did anything without for fear of her feeling bad) was centered around her & BMs ever changing schedule. We missed so many events because of it. Now we change the schedule too, if we get invited to an adult party, DH tells SD we'll take her to dinner instead of her spending the weekend or we'll switch weekends.
It was totally his choice & I'm glad for it. We are never going to get BM & SD to care about our schedule & things we plan in our life so now we switch it up too. Often that means SD is home with BM when she isn't expecting her to be, oh well. Since they don't stick to the schedule it works both ways.
