mmmm, I suspect that wouldn't be a good crockpot candidate. It only needs to bake in the oven for about 30 min, and it should be uncovered so the top can crisp up a tad.... most of the prep is on the stove top.... making the roux with cheese (I also add dried mustard and onion), and boiling the pasta.

there is a recipe on the crockpot website. I have made it and its very good!
Just make sure when you cook the pasta first that you cook it al dente & rinse it in cold water so it stays a little firmer before its in the crockpot.
