Thanks for asking Pauline. It went okay.... She seems to think that I should keep on continuing IUIs and this time with clomid. She even said for about 4 cycles. She said she wouldn't even classify my dh and I as having infertility because we just got pregnant within the year. (hmm miscarriages are a part of infertility).

She doesn't want me coming back for day 3 blood because my levels are always stable...(????). She handed me a Rx for clomid, told me to return cd 12 for a sono and sent me on my way.

She wasn't able to answer a few of my questions but I guess she will try to investigate further. I informed her that I am going to go for further immune testing and she said ...'okay I will take what they say into consideration' . I told her I am doing acupuncture and she was definitely in favor of that.

I am going to try the clomid IUIs...for probably no more than 2-3 cycles. Then I think it's time I move on to Cornell...The only thing that's keeping me from going to Cornell now is 'insurance". I have excellent infertility insurance, but Cornell doesn't accept it. I am going to call a person in billing at Cornell and learn more about what kind of reimbursement I will get. However, if I am just doing clomid/iui...I can do that locally. I am looking forward to meeting Dr. Scher on Monday, I hope he comes up with the missing link :)

It sounds like you werent completely satisfied with your consult. I hope trying something different is enough for you to be successful.

WOW, Im surprised. My consult with her was amazing. She spent over an hour talking to me, and went over all my questions, and I had about 2 pages worth. She told me the pros and cons and success rates for everything.
I have to say Im really shocked by how she seemed to be with you. I thought she was more knowledgable then any of the dr's I have ever spoke to.
