doctor question

Hi all

I am, obviously, new here, and dont really consider myself a member of this board just yet (im 6 and a half weeks with twins. but its still too early to get excited as far as I am concerned!)

Anyway Im being released from my RE in 2 weeks and need to see an OBGYN and I found out today that mine has retired. I was wondering if anyone can suggest an OBGYN who:

1. delivers out of StonyBrook
2. is high risk (Ive had multiple m/cs)
3. is experienced with multipes

Thanks ladies..... hope to be more regular around here once I feel more comfortable!

My practice is NOT considered a high risk, but they do deliver at Stony Brook. That is where I had my boys. My OB is Dr. Porte, he delivered my twins. They are in Setauket and have a place in Rocky Point. There are a few doctors in there and all are GREAT. Other ones are Dr. Okeefe, and Dr. Julie Welischar.

I'm from Western Suffolk. When I was looking for a high risk OB, it seemed to be that the most experienced, high risk OB's were in Western Nassau.

At first I wasn't too happy about traveling so far but I would do it again in a heartbeat. The practice I went to had everything on site and that practice specializes in multiples and high risk.
