I knew it was bound to happen
After 5 or 6 glorious weeks of no heartburn, it came back in full force today. My heartburn was awful in the first trimester and part of the second trimester. I was so happy when it went away. I knew it would return at some point, but I wish it would've stayed away a little longer. I guess it's time to take some Zantac.

Re: I knew it was bound to happen
Heartburn rules most of the decision I make about food lately. It stinks.

Mine comes and goes as well. I have started taking Zantac and it's really helped.

Re: I knew it was bound to happen
Zantac definitely helped last night, but my heartburn is still there this morning. I guess I'll start carrying Zantac with me again wherever I go.

Heartburn sucks! (Please don't move this to the This Sucks board).

Just think about the extra calcium you are getting from all the Tums
ETA: I am a sufferer too- not just making fun

There's no way I could take Tums. I developed a gag reflex during pregnancy and wouldn't be able to chew/swallow them. When my heartburn was really bad in the first trimester, milk provided about 15 minutes of relief. I can always get calcium through ice cream.
Zantac has really helped a lot although I try not to take it unless I'm really uncomfortable.
