i am a huge fan of the twilite series too (thanks to twobabies) i thought this book was just over the top...as mentioned before no Volutuiri fight, jacob imprinting on a baby , charlie just accepting the fact that Jacob is a werewolf is just crazy and i can go on and on..i also felt like Edwards character wasnt as appealing as he he was in the previous books...much weaker..i know we all like happy endings in a book but just wished that this book ended on more of a cliff hanger jmo

Yay! I finally finished this series after all the hype I read on here and am ready to put in my two cents :) I absolutely LOVED Twilight...for me, it was the best book of the series. The others were good, but not the same. Breaking Dawn had a lot of weird things in it. It was the only book where I felt at one point things were getting ridiculous. I did feel that Edward was a much weaker version of himself in this book as was the romance between him and Bella. The baby (what was she thinking with that name?) was just creepy in my opinion, as was Jacob imprinting on her. I felt that she didn't know what to do with Jacob after she created this love triangle and just pawned him off. And the whole situation with Charlie was just unbelievable. I did like seeing more of the vampires and learning about their gifts and was happy that Bella turned out to be a hero at the end. I liked the ending a lot. I was glad SM didn't feel the need to kill off major characters like in the Harry Potter novels. All and all, I really liked the series and am going to read it a second time.

So, upon the recommendation from someone on LiWeddings, I was told I should come here to discuss the Twilight series because, they are pretty much NOT interested. Heh.

I have not read Breaking Dawn yet but, I cannot resist reading spoilers and I do have to say that I am VERY dissapointed in how the book turns out. I mean, I always thought Bella was a little whiny and very childish, I can't believe she actually gets her way in the end.
It's not going to deter me from reading the book, but, all in all, after all the fighting and the loss and the tears, everyone gets what they want. It shouldn't be that easy. Hmm.

Hi! Here I am, a month later.

I liked it. I didn't love it. I really wanted more of the connection between Edward and Bella.

I agree that it was a little weird, but it wasn't terrible.

I want to read the whole series again. I miss it.

I actually really liked it but I have been Team Jacob all along and I just wanted him to be imprinted. I am a cheeseball.

I absoltuley loved the book .. I think it finshed the story line perfectly ... yes i thought some parts dragged in it ... and i honestly did not care about Jacob all that much .. but IMO ot was the perfect ending in this story about true love ... i dont honestly think i would have wanted it to end in any other way!!

I finished Breaking Dawn yesterday and I have been waiting to come on here after reading all 4 books within a two week time frame.

I LOVED the series. I am totally in love with Edward, and I seriously would have dreams about the books while reading.

I was worried that I wouldn't like Breaking Dawn as much because of some of what I have heard. I liked it-- it was not the intense love stuff of the other books, but I still really liked it. I do have to say it was a little weird reading the pregnancy stuff since I am prego now, but maybe that made me more interested. I thank god my kid is not like Renesme in the womb!

I was so happy Bella and Edward finally DTD... I was dying for them to hook up. While I would have liked some details as well- it is a "young adult" book, so there is a line there.

Some of the character changes were weird, and it made it very easy to predict things that were going to happen. Regardless, I liked it. I knew it would all fit in a nice little package at the end, and after all the shite that Bella and Edward dealt with, they deserved a happily ever after.

I think there could have been some more surprises at the end of the book, rather than everything just fitting nicely in place, but whatever.

I am so sad it's over... but, I still have Midnight Sun, and the movie to look forward to.
