Reading Log activites for Kindergarten?
I make my class read for 10 minutes a night with soemone.
While they read they are to play "I spy" with their sight words and some nights count how many sight words they see.
Any other activities I can do?
I thought about drawing their favorite part, but some books they read that doesn't appy to becasue they are so short.
Any ideas???
Thanks

if you do a letter of the week, maybe how many words can they find that start with that letter? or have that letter in it?

Re: Reading Log activites for Kindergarten?
I would sometimes ask questions like: -where is your favorite place to read? -who was your favorite character and why? -where did the story take place? -would you tell a friend to read this?
I would ask this sporadically and have the parents reply...only a few words, whatever their child said...

they can "read" the book to a teddy bear after reading it with mom.
Before reading they can take a picture walk and make predictions (send a note home describing how to do this)
