please recommend your canister vacuum
I'm in need of a new canister vacuum. Please recommend yours and if you could give the price range, that would be great!

I love my Kenmore canister vac. They vary in price, but mine was $499 on sale for $379.

We got the Hoover Windtunnel - love it! We got it at Costco - I think it was around $175 - $200. Works great.

i just bought an electrolux and love it!! i paid $975 for it  it is expensive but worth it - my mom still uses her original one she bought back in 1977!!!

I have an Electrolux, but NOT the $975 model!! I think mine was $400. My mom still has hers from the 70's too!

Another fan of Electrolux. We paid about $800 about 10 years ago. I was replacing my grandmother's that I had inherited. I think they said her model was from the 60's. It was still working but the hose needed replacement and there was some other maintenence and it was going to cost about a third of a new model and it could go any time so I decided it was time to invest in a new one. I figure it's going to last me for as long as I'm able to vacuum.

I'm dying for the Miele canister vac., but it's also up there ($800 - $1000). My DH just can't see spending that much on a vac., but he isn't the one who is allergic to dust, dust mites, etc!

My mom has this one and loves it! I have a Kenmore Progressive that I really like.
