I am wondering how long the person lives for once they tell you that 95% Of your liver is gone

My Grandfather did...he was in the hospital for 2 months before he passed away- he was 75 and we also found out he had cancer in those last few months.

My grandfather died of it shortly after it was diagnosed, but he also had stage 3 lung cancer so his body was tired and just gave out.

One of my dad's brother has it now. I think 2 years ago they said it was about 70% gone. It looked like he was going to die in the hospital, but somehow he got somewhat better and was discharged. Now that he's not been sick for a while he's decided it's ok to start drinking non-stop again. Chat Icon
