I am wondering how long the person lives for once they tell you that 95% Of your liver is gone

My Grandfather did...he was in the hospital for 2 months before he passed away- he was 75 and we also found out he had cancer in those last few months.

I'm very sorry.

My grandfather died of it shortly after it was diagnosed, but he also had stage 3 lung cancer so his body was tired and just gave out.

One of my dad's brother has it now. I think 2 years ago they said it was about 70% gone. It looked like he was going to die in the hospital, but somehow he got somewhat better and was discharged. Now that he's not been sick for a while he's decided it's ok to start drinking non-stop again.
