5 days to go...and I am so NERVOUS!!!
I have so much anxiety I don't know what to do with it all.
I'm already in the city, working in the office for the week...so my nerves are even greater! Gosh you would think this was my first marathon. 
I know I can do this...I ran 23 miles 2 weeks ago...then why the heck is my body playing with me...making me a nervous wreck that im getting sick and my calf is all sore and out of wack! 
The taper really is the worst...you really second guess all the training and question if you're ready...it's hitting me!

You will do wonderful! You are an inspiration for me. I just did my first 5K last month and I hope to work my way up to a marathon. I will be cheering you on that day!

I feel the same way - i am totally second guessing all the work ive done due to the tapering.
but we are fine and realistically we ARE READY! we have done everything we are supposed to have done. now just stay healthy and get ready!
4 days and counting!!!!!

my goal is to finish feeling good. ive heard many horror stories of going out to fast and crashing at the end....so im going to start slow (like painfully so) so that i can sustain until the end and finish strong.
that said - i'll probably run a 4:30 marathon.
BUT I'M DEFINITELY EXCITED!!!

My goal is to cross the finish line
If all goes well I should be able to do 4:15...but there are so many variables there is no way to tell if I will be 4:15 or 5:15. I would like to beat my last time...so we will see.
I run the first 16 miles at a commute pace, where I can hold a conversation and could run 50 miles if I wanted. Miles 16-20 I start to warm up and at 20-26 I run a 10K race. So I figure I'm only racing a 10K on Sunday! Sometimes this works sometimes it doesn't...will depend on the day.
Thanks for all the support...I can't wait for it to get here already. I'm off to the expo today after work!!

best of luck to you!!! My DH ran the DC marathon last weekend and he isn't a runner at all...it was tough, but he did it. You will do great!!!

tapering as well. Your going to do well. We should get a good nights rest b/c tomorrow night I know I will not be
