I have yet to receive a flu shot or get the flu.
same here...
i won't get the flu shot.... i have seen many people get the shot and then get the flu. i'd rather take my chances... i've been lucky so far!

I stopped getting the flu shot about 5 years ago, ever since my mom got the shot & became sick with the flu for 3 weeks. I had never seen her in the condition she was in before & it freaked me out.

To my recollection, I honestly don't remember having the flu, so I didn't get the shot and honestly, don't know if I will. I've had every cold and bronchial infection, including pneumonia.

The one yr that I got it, I became so terribly sick with the flu. I was so sick that days fused and meshed into each other without me knowing. For example: I thought it was Tuesday but my DH told me " no, its actually Thursday, you've been sleeping since Monday!"
NO THANKS.

the flu vaccine years ago was the live bug. The shot now is the dead virus.
If you got the flu shot too late and the bug was already cooking inside of you, you could get the flu.
I get it every year. I had it once, I will do anything not to feel that way ever again.
I have a medical condition and getting the flu could land me in the hospital. No thanks, I will get my flu shot every year.
Ditto on all counts..... the entire family gets it as well. Too many documented deaths from the flu to mess around with it. From the research I've done, and all my personal experiences, the only downsides are a sore arm (assuming you aren't allergic or have Guillain-Barr Syndrome). The downsides to not getting it are getting one of the worst illnesses you can get, or death.... I'll personally go with the sore arm.

I don't get the flu shot bc it always makes me sick.. and knock on wood, I haven't gotten the flu
