Thanksgiving show ideas
I teach 1st grade & we are inviting the parents in to watch us sing & recite poems. I'd like to add something to the show to make it exciting but not sure what. Any ideas?

Re: Thanksgiving show ideas
I think that the parents will be so excited to see their little ones performing! Will it just be your class in the classroom? Maybe have the children make decorations? Perhaps you could serve hot apple cider and pumpkin bread? I love this song:
Albuquerque Turkey
(sung to the tune of "Clementine")
Albuquerque is a turkey And he's feathered and he's fine And he wobbles and he gobbles and he's absolutely mine. He's the best pet that you can get.. Better than a dog or cat. He's my Albuquerque turkey And I'm awfully proud of that. He once told me , very frankly he preferred to be my pet, not the main course at my dinner, and I told him not to fret. And my Albuquerque turkey is so happy in his bed, 'Cause for our Thanksgiving dinner... We had egg foo yong instead.

It's the whole grade singing on the risers. How funny, we are actually singing Albuquerque Turkey, except the last line we say pizza pie instead
