Carter's Fleece clothes with funny smell

I know this is going to sound crazy, but I have a few fleece pjs and fleece pullovers from Carters and after I washed them a few times I have found that they have a really foul odor - fishy smell. I have rewashed them with different detergents and the smell hasn't gone away. I am curious if anyone else has had this problem. It is only the fleece clothes, not the cotton stuff. I wonder if I should contact Carters, as all of our other clothes smell fresh and clean after I wash them. Any advice? My only other thought is we give her cod liver oil everyday along with her vitamins. Myabe that has gotten on her clothes and won't wash out.TIA

We just bought a bunch of Carter's fleece clothing~pj's mostly~but they don't smell at all!

that's the cod liver oil i think.... my DD has some of the fleece stuff from them, and no smell at all.

we have a ton of fleece clothes and pjs and they've never smelled. it's probably the oil
