Can you use a heating pad?
I have the worst pinched nerve on the top of my butt...can i use a heating pad?

I use one-- I have had such back pain, I have no choice.... it's a lifesaver!

My doc said no electric heating pads. He said the ones that you microwave and then use or the ones that you squeeze to activate the heat "beads" are ok but not the electric ones. Basically he said to use one where the heat dissipates -- not one that gives off constant heat.
My doc is very laid back about most things so when he gave me this advice I really put stock into it.
