Nursery/Gear Set Up

Just curious when everyone started putting their sheets on the bed and putting together all the gear that they have? I'm not due til 2/21 so I'm worried about dust. I know I can throw a sheet over whatever but just wanted to see when everyone else did.

Thanks!

Haven't even thought about it (im due 2/17) since our crib isn't even going to be delivered until around the baby's due date so we'll just play it by ear i guess.

Re: Nursery/Gear Set Up

I am due on Wednesday, we set the crib up just before Thanksgiving. We haven't put any of the other gear together Chat Icon I guess that'll happen as we need it.

The baby is going to sleep in the pack and play bassinett in our room for a couple of weeks. So, I won't put the sheets on until the bay's ready to move into the crib.

Re: Nursery/Gear Set Up

I'm having csection about 2 wks after your due date and I probably won;t put sheets on the crib until I leave for the hospital. I don't want them getting stale..dusty....etc. As far as the gear and setting up changing stations etc. I already started organizing their closet and setting up baskets for the changing station..I don't thinkt heres a set timeline....do it when you have time...and before the baby comes LOL

DH can put the sheets on the bed when you are in the hospital, and it's after visiting hours, so he has to go home anyway... Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Nursery/Gear Set Up

I have nothing done, or plan on setting anything up.

Nothing will be coming into the house until the baby is born. We have the crib that will be delivered AFTER she is home.

My sister currently has all the clothes I've bought so far. She will wash them and bring what I need to the hospital, and then bring the rest of the stuff to my house.

The Pack n Play (where the baby will sleep), the Swing and the bouncy seat is being shipped to my father's house, and he will bring all that stuff out to my house once the baby is born and someone will set it all up before we come home from the hosptial.

Everything will fall into place, the baby doesn't really need all that much when they come home.

My schedule c-section is in 13 days. I haven't set up the nursery at all nor have I washed the clothes. I will be doing this in the next week though.
