Suffolk Co Dr. who delivers at North Shore/Manhasset?
Hi, I'm in E. Northport and I'm 6 wks preg. w/baby #3. I want to have this child delivered (repeat section) at North Shore Univ Hosp Manhasset, instead of Huntington Hospital. But I'm having a hard time finding a local OB who delivers in Manhasset. Can anyone recommend a good dr.??

I think you're going to have to travel closer to Manhasset to find an MD who is affiliated w/ the hospital -
Most OBGYNs aren't going to deliver at a hospital that's 45 min from their primary practice .......KWIM?

I think that Dr. Martin Granoff, who is located in East Northport, occassionally delivers at north shore hospital.

I am in Greenlawn and there are only 2 OB/GYN practices in the area.... WGM on Pulaski Rd. in East Northport and North Shore Medical Group in Huntington. Both deliver at Huntington Hospital. I am VERY pleased so far with Dr. Wagner and staff at WGM. I will be delivering at Huntington Hospital.

I used Suffolk Co. OBGYN in huntington before the OB portion of the practice dissolved after many years. Now my options are Huntington Med Group in huntington station, and North Shore Med Grp in Huntington, across from the hospital.
I delivered my 2nd at Huntington Hospital in '06 and I wasn't happy with the experience, specifically my after-care. I think much of that had to do with sharing a room; I went in very open-minded but the situation turned out to be less than ideal and I couldn't wait to be discharged.
If I can't deliver at North Shore/Manhasset this time, I'll obviously have to return to HH...maybe I can push harder for a private room. I'm just not thrilled about the prospect.

Dr. Morris-Rush and her group in Woodbury deliver @ NSH Manhasset. They are on Froehlich Farm Blvd. Lots of people in Eastern Nassau and Western Suffolk use them. Good luck

I delivered DS at Huntington in '07.
I use the Dr.s associated with Huntington Medical Group.
I had a very good experience and plan on delivering there again.
A friend of mine delivered at St. Catherines in Smithtown. If you want something closer than NSU, FM me and I can email her next week and ask her experience.
