property maps

Does anyone know where or how I can obtain a map for my house indicating where the cesspool was prior to the installation of the sewer lines? the reason for the question is that I am noticing that one side of my property gets very soggy when it rains and there appears to be a drainage problem.

I am wondering if there might be anything underground preventing the water from draining properly.

You get the property map from the town. Not sure if it shows cesspools or not. We had to get one when we were doing the expansion on the house and had to submit it with a bunch of other paperwork.
