I forgot my pump bag in my car
Not sure what the heck I'm going to do. I got to work this morning (NYC) and realized I left my bag (with bottles and my cooler) in the car. I have the horns and pump at my office but there is no baby store nearby. What can I do?? UGHHHH.

Go to Duane Reade or some store like that and get regular baby bottles - they should clip on...othewise rubber band zip lock bags to the pump and use that.
Union Square had a BRU and on 7th Avenue there is a BBB near 23rd Street.

Re: I forgot my pump bag in my car
so you have the pump and the equipment but not the bottles? Is there a drugstore nearby? they would have couple of bottles you could buy as a temporary solution.
If you have nothing to keep it cool in, you could buy aluminum foil and wrap them up if you're trying to save the milk...

Re: I forgot my pump bag in my car
Can you pump into regular cup? A little cumbersome but it might work.

Re: I forgot my pump bag in my car
Yes, thankfully I have a pump I leave at work and extra horns. I just commute with the Medela containers and my cooler/ice pack.
Thanks for the ideas ladies - I'll see if Duane Reade has bottles I can attach (is it OK they won't be sterlized??) anda maybe pick up a little cooler to get it home - or leave in work fridge til tomorrow although I hate have my milk in the public fridge.

Re: I forgot my pump bag in my car
Where is your car? Would you be able to use lunch time now, instead of later, and go?

They will have breastmilk storage bags at Duane Reade...buy those instead of bottle and just attach them to the shields while pumping...this is if you're worried about sterilization...

In Wantagh and I'm in midtown Manhattan
Oh... I would try and find a cup, jar, anything and clean it out well. The ziplock was a great idea too. You could always transfer it to something. Most drug stores these days are carrying many brands of bottles so hopefully you can find something!

Re: I forgot my pump bag in my car
I feel for you - I've done this myself. I've even left my hors at home once.
As others have said, you can use milk storage bags with rubberbands. If you can find the Medela ones the actually have a sticky thing to attach to the horns. Ziplock bags with ice will be fine to get you home.
Where in midtown are you? The Toys R Us in times square carries all Medela products.
