looking for some tutoring jobs
I'm a first grade teacher for the past 6 years and I taught 3rd grade for 1 yr. I also teach a morning 3rd and 4th grade ela and math state test class so I'm very familiar with the state test prep. I want to pick up some elem. tutoring jobs out of my district. Any advice???

Re: looking for some tutoring jobs
Some districts collect tutors' numbers and info. (Parents looking for tutors would call this one central number and get a list of local, certified candidates). Call some central offices of local districts and see if they do this.
Are any of your friends or family teachers? Tell them. Tell everyone else, while you'e at it. DH gets all of his tutoring jobs by word of mouth. An ad on Craigslist or in the Pennysaver can't hurt, either.
Good luck!!

I live in East Williston and I teach in Levittown... all my teacher friends know that I am available but it's very hard to find elem tutoring jobs...
