ALLI DIet program
Does anyone know if this is kind of safe? I am desperate to loose some weight. I hate how I look

I don't know if it works or not, but the way the drug works is to basically make you absorb less fat from food. The way you get rid of the fat is by pooping it out. Some people who take this are running to the toilet all day.
If you are serious about losing weight, I would say join weight watchers, its a much healthier alternative and it works.

I would post this on Diet board - there were quite a few women who were using Alli and there was a post about it a while back. Someone at my job used Alli and did WW at the same time - she did well.
The way I see it is it's behavior mod. If you don't want the horrible side effects, you're not going to eat fattening things and you're going to lose weight.

a friend of mine's mom used it and she used the bathroom ALL the time...worst part - when she went - it was ORANGE...and stained the toilet....BADLY...
there are much safer ways to go about losing weight!

I have never taken it but from what I understand you have to cut out all fat (including good ones) and if you do you will have little to no effects. But the problem is that most people don't do that so they end up with the horrible side effects.

I had my gallbladder removed and took it with no side effects; unless you count weight loss as a side effect.

teaching is why I can't think about trying - no way that I want the side effects to come at a time you can't leave the room!
