when to call for first appointment

I go to gyn only right now becuase my practice splis OB and gyn - should i call for an appointment today - i just got a BFP today

also we are moving back to LI in may - would it be better to track back to NY in begining and only use one doctor - it is about 4 hours from where i live now

I called the day I got BFP, the office will tell you their policy. Some say wait until 6-8 weeks, mine didnt ask, they just gave me an appointment a couple of days later.

i called the week i tested positive and was told the Dr likes to see patients between 8 and 10 wks for the first appt. The first available appt was my 10wk mark. (I wanted evening hours so DH and I could go together).

I suggest calling asap so you get the date/time you need.

I would call them and let them know. My OB set up the appointment for me a few weeks later. Originally they didn't want to see me till I was 8 weeks but I made them take me in at 4 weeks just to confirm so we could tell our parents on Christmas.

I called them about a week after I found out I was pregnant. They asked me for the first day of my last period and gave me my appointment for several weeks later, I was approx 7 weeks 5 days for my first appointment.
