going for 1st follow up appt. since D&C tomorrow.....UPDATED
and we'll potentially be finding out why I miscarried. DH is hoping they don't have anything to tell us, I think he's just scared of having something hanging over our heads the next time we get pregnant......me on the otherhand, I'm hoping they can give us a reason b/c I feel like I need to know why it happened so I know it wasn't anything I did....and I'm hoping they'll say it's a 1 in a billion chance of it happening again!!
I'll update after the doctors appointment in the morning. I'm praying they don't give us bad news. 
Update: just got back from the doctor visit.....they did a sonogram, everything looked good, although I still have a small cyst on my right ovary. They had test results but they only said that no "problems" came back and that it was a "normal" pregnancy.....so I asked about whether there was any genetic results.......THEY DIDN'T DO THE GENETIC TESTING!!!  I asked them to test the tissue, I said it at least twice prior to the D&C.....when I asked for testing I said "I'd really like to know why this happened, it would help me get some closure", I didn't think I'd have to specifically say that I wanted genetic testing, I thought testing meant testing for everything. Anyway, my doctor who otherwise has been great through all of this, had a nurse call the lab to see if they can still perform the genetic testing. Although she did say if there was a chromosome problem that it's most unlikely that it would happen again. She thinks I'll be pregnant in no time.....we'll see if she's right! I have a follow up appt in 6 weeks for my annual pap and we'll see if AF shows up by then. thanks for listening, I'm just feeling frustrated that I didn't receive any answers, but I guess sometimes that's the way it goes with m/c's, no rhyme or reason they just happen, I still can't help but feel like "why me??"....I can only pray that we don't go through this in our next pregnancy!!

answers-- I know how difficult the waiting must have been.
belive me I feel the same way!

I was wondering the same thing? What did the comment mean about a normal pregnancy when they didn't do genetic testing?
I'm so sorry they didn't do the genetic testing. It sounds like you were clear to them what you wanted.

I'm so sorry they didn't do the genetic testing. It sounds like you were clear to them what you wanted.
I don't know if she meant normal to mean that it was just spontaneous and there's no reason for it??? I feel the same way, how it could it be normal if I miscarried? I have a feeling they won't be able to go back and do the genetic testing at this point, its 2 weeks later, who knows if the lab would still have the tissue. this stinks!

I'm so sorry you didn't get the closure you needed. Our OB told us we could request genetic testing but we would have to pay for it. He said in most cases insurance will only pay if it's your 3rd consecutive m/c. I'm not familiar with your background so if it is the 3rd I don't understand why they would not do it. I also wanted that closure, but I choose to believe it was genetic and that nothing I did would have caused it. I find peace in that.

I'm sorry ou didn't get any closure. There ws no testing for my first mc, and then having the closure and testing the second time around only made me wish I had answers the first time too.
