Cleaning Shower Doors
I need something to clean my shower doors. I have tried just about everything from regular windex to vinager and even the spray foam window clean with newspaper. I just can't get the soap scum off at the bottom. We squeggie(spelling) them after every shower. Anyone have suggestions?? I can't stand the way they look and they are only 6 months old. I will try anything

Re: Cleaning Shower Doors
This is my nightmare. I have found that dry cleaning with the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works best, followed by rubbing lightly with a sock with a little bit of Old English furniture oil. The oil gives it a shine, and helps the water bead up after showers. We're currently selling our home, and I've gotten many compliments on my clean shower doors!

Re: Cleaning Shower Doors
Have you tried the Clorox with bleach spray cleaner? That stuff gets pretty much anything clean for me!
I also agree with the Magic Eraser, those are great too!!!

Re: Cleaning Shower Doors
We use scrubbing bubbles, let it sit then use a sponge, and it comes out shiny & clear.

Re: Cleaning Shower Doors
When we got our shower doors installed, the guy sprayed on this stuff kinda like rainex but very powerful, It lasts probably a year, and the water just falls off of the doors.
Our shower doors are spotless

Re: Cleaning Shower Doors
Once you get them clean coat them with Rain-x. You will get soo much less buildup and the water will bead right off of them

RainX is this the product you use on your cars windshield?

Re: Cleaning Shower Doors
We just squeegee the water off right after showering. No chemicals required.

Re: Cleaning Shower Doors
We squeegee, but you still get the soap scum.
I use Ka-Boom spray in a purple bottle. It works great. I usually wipe it with a Magic Eraser, but it is unneccesary.

Re: Cleaning Shower Doors
Ok, here is my magic secret for super tough scum and mildew-X-14
I will warn you--it smells BADLY of chlorin but it works VERY quick and absolutely NOTHING escapes it! I love that stuff! Nothing else work as well and as fast!
Just make sure you open windows to create a draft when you use it!
