Does anyone NOT have healthy insurance
If so, what do you do when you are sick?
We don't qualify for NY Health Plus or Healthy NY. But the cost of COBRA cost is ridiculous. But not having any insurance scares the crap out of me.
Just seeing what other people do in this situation.

Re: Does anyone NOT have healthy insurance
When my sister didn't have insurance she paid out of pocket to the gp. It depends on how much an office visit is and how much your dr. charges. Sometimes they may have samples of a prescription you need or Walmart has 4 dollar prescriptions on a long list of generic antibiotics etc.

Re: Does anyone NOT have healthy insurance
when i started my new job, it took 6 months for insurance to kick in... it scared the crap out of me also not to have ins. and just like you said, COBRA is really expensive... i singed up for Infinity Health Plus.... they have full hospital coverage through GHI... and if you need to go to the doctor, you still pay out of pocket, but only like 20% of the totaly cost or something like that... its better than nothing!
ETA: it was $200 a month for everything... you even got Rx coverage!

Thank you for this information. I just called them. I'm waiting for someone to call me back.
Were you happy with the coverage.
