Anyone take welbutrin (sp?)

I was looking into trying this , any views?

I know my DH tried it to quit smoking many years ago - and it made him a very nasty person
It had alot of side effects to it.

i was on two medications to help me lose weight (since no matter how much i exercised, nothing worked, until the meds started to help).

I can't remember if Wellbutrin was the one - but one of them made me MISERABLE...(i THINK it was Wellbutrin)... Check out the side effects, if one of them is PROFUSE SWEATING....do not take it. I took it in the summer and at one point, we were at a baseball game in Philly...it was maybe 80 degrees, BEAUTIFUL weather, nice breeze and i was SOAKED in sweat. I even called my doc FROM THE GAME...because i was so worried about what was happening to me. That day - he changed the meds...

i took it as well and did not like the way it made me feel. I can off it right away

I took it... I loved it, and it helped me to quit with no problems at all!

It took the edge off very nicely, and things that would normally stress me out totally rolled off my back and I was able to deal with them instead of running out the door to smoke.
