How pricey is Ruth Chris?
We are going tonight for our anniversary. We happen to have a gift certificate, but I'm wondering how $$ it really is.
Thanks!

Re: How pricey is Ruth Chris?
It really depends on what you want. We usually spend about $300 - 350 for the two of us, but that usually includes a $100+ bottle of wine, two appetizers, two steaks, 3 sides, 2 desserts, and 2 glasses of dessert wine.

Re: How pricey is Ruth Chris?
I think it is average for a steak house...I didn't find it to be out of the park expensive (for a steak house). The side dishes are a al carte...I would say the steaks are between $30 and $50 and the sides are probably about $10 each (but each side is def enough for 2 people) Maybe they have a website with menu prices

I agree, it really depends what you order
My DH does not drink alcohol, so our bar bill is much lower when we go out. I usually order one martini We get 2 appetizers, but you could split one if you wanted
We get 2 of the filet mignon and 2 sides.
Sometimes we get dessert depending if we are really stuffed
It usually runs between 150-200 with tax and tip for us.

Re: How pricey is Ruth Chris?
Note that more than $100 of our bill is for wine, though. You certainly don't need to spend that kind of money when you go there. We just happen to like their wine list. ;)

We go often and the last time was for our anniversary.... When my husband booked it he told the hostess it was our anniversary and we received two free desserts. But our bill is usually about $200.00.

Thanks!
We are known to buy a bottle of wine so the gift cert will def help "defray" the cost.

Their wine list goes from about $38/bottle to over $2500/bottle... so you can find something for every price range.

Re: How pricey is Ruth Chris?
well we went last night and boy did we eat! We got a "cheaper" bottle of wine ($45!), 2 apps, and we both got the surf and turf. It was reallllllllly good! They threw in dessert free for our anniversary , which is the only reason I made DH order it hahaha.
I def recommend, it was delish
