OMG- I remember feeling EXACTLY the way you feel. DH works doubles on Saturdays (4am-10pm). The night before he did his first after #2 was born, I called my mom in a panic because I couldn't imagine HOW I was going to take care of my 17 month old and 2 week old all by myself.

Well- guess what, it is Saturday and it is 4 months later, and BOTH babies are SLEEPING right now!Chat Icon You will get through it, and soon it will be so easy you'll wonder why you ever worried!!!Chat Icon

Re: The time is finally here.. cant stop crying..

Aw....date twin, you'll be just fine! I've had many nights alone with my new DS (hey, that's my first time using DS on here!!! Chat Icon ) since my Mom has gone home and believe me, the "mommy instinct" kicks in!

I was scared to death that I would doze off and not hear him when he squirmed or cried, but I wake up instantly! It's as if I just knew what to do and when to do it.

If your DS has started a bit of a routine, that will be a big help too. I have Caleb on a pretty good schedule....he knows that when he wakes up, it's time to change his diaper, and then he gets food. He's only getting up twice now at night....at two weeks old, he gets his 11:30pm feeding, then he wakes again around 3 or 3:30, back to sleep, and up again around 6 or 7. But, I'm also lucky to have such a great baby so far! He even loved his first bath last night!!!

I'm usually up late....if you need to chat or need an ear to cry into, feel free to call!!! I'm here.

Best of luck! You're going to do just fine! Take a deep breath and believe in yourself!!! Mommy instinct is a marvelous thing.
