i went down to clean off my car decided there was no way i was goinig ni and 2 seconds later i saw it on the news. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2nd snow day in 7.5 years with DOE

I was up early watching the news, between 4 am and 5:20, then fell back to sleep. When my alarm went off at 6:00 and I turned the TV on, I thought I misheard them on channel 4! WOOOHOOO!!!!

I was SHOCKED!
Of course, DC schools only have a 2 hour delay - I think it was because of what Obama said about them being wussy the last time they closed!
There's like 4 inches and it's still falling down here! That's HUGE for us!

DH was already showered when they made the call.
Of course, I have worked for the DOE for 5 years and this is the first snow day and I'm on maternity leave so I'm getting charged for the day.
At least DH is home today anyway...I had only gotten 2 hours of sleep with the baby so I was able to sleep some this morning.

DH submitted a lesson plan for the sub I was like what are you doing the schools are closed.  Though they really should have made this decision last night!
