Benchmark Moment
Do you girls have a benchmark moment in your head when you judge how long you've been on your journey.
For me it's St Patricks Day 2007 - I knew we'd start trying later on that year so I remember thinking "this will be my last St Patrick's Day out partying"! Funny what you look back on - I had no clue what I was in for!

Re: Benchmark Moment
A wedding I went to when I told someone that I'd been off the pill for three months and my hair was falling out.
Wish I could remember when the wedding was, but the couple already have a baby who could be about a year old by now.

Re: Benchmark Moment
I went off the pill on my 30th birthday. I'll be 32 in two and a half weeks.

Re: Benchmark Moment
We went on a Mediterranean cruise in the fall of 2007 and I thought that it was going to be our last "big" vacation for a while Suffice to say that we have been on a few vacations since then and most recently went to Prague and Budapest at the end of December 2008/January 2009. We also are planning another vacation for May or June of this year.

Re: Benchmark Moment
I was doing that for the last 3 years. Now if my mind wanders that way I shut it down. I no longer think of the future. I am living day by day. Its actually working good. Been 5 wks now and I think I like this. When ever someone tries to talk future (esp. DH) I put my hand up and say "NO". Now I am working on not thinking about the past.

I wish I could do this. I think I will try.

Re: Benchmark Moment
For me, it's more like what I didn't do or passed up b/c "I might be pg" or "I might have an infant". Then the trip dates or events come and go and I am neither pg nor do I have an infant. So, now we plan as we did before infertility and we'll deal with what we have to if the time comes.

I could have written this myself-But mine was St Patricks Day '08 . At that time last year I thought I would be pregnant by this time this year I never imagined it would be so hard.
