How long after stopping BCP?
Hello all! We stopped BCP last month and I'm just trying to get an idea what to expect. I've been lurking many months and now that we're finally TTC, I have some questions...
How long after stopping the birth control pill did you get your first period?
Did you ovulate your first month off the BCP?
What was the length of your cycle before starting BCP?

It's differeny for everyone. Some O the first month off BCP, for some it can take up to 6 months.

I stopped it the end of January and just got it two weeks ago for the first time. My cycle lasted for almost 7 days!  We'll see what next month brings.

i stopped in feb of 2008. i was on it for 10 years.
March, april and may i had surprisingly normal cycles..29-31 days..pretty light too.
June went to 45 days and after that they were sort of irregular..33-36 day cycles. by october they seemed to get regular again.
everyone is different.
Before BCP i had irregular and very heavy periods.

I had abnormal cycles before going on the pill and that's why I went on it. After going off I've been rather regular. Pretty much 30 day cycles. When I first went off it varied by like a day. I don't know if I ovulated b/c so far I haven't checked. We are going to go with the whatever happens method when we really start trying. If that doesn't work then on to OPK's

i was pretty regular before BCP, was on for 8 years and stopped them early Jan. Feb. period came right on time - but I haven't gotted it since. I am going on 43 days. I just had bloodwork done and a sono set up for next friday to see whats going on.

I stopped my BCP around the middle of October, got my period the end of October (on my honeymoon ), again in November and got my BFP on New Year's Day.

I stopped bcp at the end of Nov. 08 and I got my period at the end of Dec. (about 30 days) I don't know if I have ovulated since I have not checked but I do get some cramping mid cycle that I believe is ovulation. This is our first month TTC so we will see. My cycles are pretty much the same as they were before I went on bcp. (30-32 days)

I stopped BCP in october and got my period 23 days later in november which was short for me cause i was used to 28 day cycles. i O'd the first month like i had never been on the pill. got pg in january.

The first month, I got my period after 28 days and I was like great, I am going to be perfectly regular.
And then, each month, my cycle got longer and longer (one month it was 41 days, I was convinced I was preggo).
It took from July to January to finally regulate back to 28 days. I got my BFP in February.

Like PPs said, it is different for everyone-my cycles were around 28-30 days and stayed the same after I came off. I wasn't using an OPK the first month, so I am not sure if I O'ed.

How long after stopping the birth control pill did you get your first period? I got is 1 week but it was all over the place and still it.
Did you ovulate your first month off the BCP? I dont think so but not sure
What was the length of your cycle before starting BCP? begore bcp i was 28 days now since off bcp I am different every month my longest was 38 days, plus I had af for 32 days in a row
 now I am I hope getting closer to 28 days again. I stopped in 09/08
