Re: What do you eat on a normal basis?

The first couple of weeks I LIVED on carbs. Bagels, pretzels, bread, etc.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. If regular water gets boring, you can spike it with some lemon, lime, or orange slices.

In the beginning, I didn't care too much about what I ate, it was pretty much whatever I could stomach. I never had morning sickness, but certain things did bother my stomach. The baby will take what it needs from you, so don't worry if you're not eating the ideal diet.

Carbs (Pasta, rice, but I do eat chicken, shrimp, some beef), lots of fruit, and lots of water

I should try and eat more veggies...

I also have one cup of coffee each morning, sometimes OJ too

don't stress about your diet if you're not feeling well. eat whatever you can and the baby will take what it needs from you.

there was a period of time last pregnancy when i lived on oreo cookies because they were the only things i could stomach Chat Icon

then there was at least a 2 week period when i subsisted on apples, bananas, and almonds Chat Icon

my son is just fine Chat Icon

my dr told me to live my life normally...except watch my cold cut and seafood intake and have them in moderation. i never had caffeine to begin with so i dont miss it. other than that, everything is normal for me.

Re: What do you eat on an everyday basis?

during the week when im at work, i get a buttered roll, fruit salad (canteloupe, grapes, honeydew, strawberries), with a cup of icewater to sip during the day. and a cup of tea.

lately though the water and everything else repeats on me so i've switched to vitamin water and that seems to be ok.

lunch i'll have soup or salad, maybe pasta salad or a bagel sandwich.

dinner is the worst.. most nites by the time i get home, a toasted bagel is all i can get down.

Re: What do you eat on an everyday basis?

I would go hours even a fews days without eating much I was so sick and I could not take the vitamins. Your body stores protein and the baby will live off of that. You will not starve your baby. I was panicking, but you can't. I got better at 14 weeks and trust this baby is no longer starving.

Re: What do you eat on an everyday basis?

During the week at work I have:

Cheerios for breakfast
either rice cakes, carrots & PB, yogurt, nuts for a mid morning snack
Either salad, potatoe knish, lean pockets, leftover dinners for lunch
Strawberries or grapes for dessert
Trail mix for a mid afternoon snack
Dinner can be anything from chicken, to pasta, to shrimp, stir fry

I do find I am craving a lot of carb foods now along with fruit.

I do drink water all day at work & then hav a ginger ale for lunch & Decaf Iced tea for dinner. Always a BIG glass of OJ before bed

First 3 months...I was so sick. I ate applesauce, yogurt, crackers, ice pops, plain foods, and fruit!

Now...I can finally eat. I eat cereal every night and morning. I must go through a box every three days. Not too bad...cereal has alot of vitamins lol

Oh and I always eat an orange a day or a glass or two of OJ. I love it.

Re: What do you eat on an everyday basis?

Almost every day for breakfast I have a PBJ (natural PB, organic fruit spread on double fiber whole wheat).

Also either have apples or bananas almost every day.

The two days a week I am in NYC for work I usually have Hale & Hearty one day (split pea soup and spinach salad) and Chipotle (chicken burrito bowl w/guacamole) the other day.

I'd say dinner is my worsy meal of the day ... the days I'm coming home from NYC, I don't get home until 7PM and I never have anything planned (and DH usually has basketball one of the nights so he's not even a help).

I definitely eat a lot of carbs (but always have!) and I do try to pay attention to my sugar intake (even natural - fruit - sugars). I wish I wish I was eating more veggies but they just aren't of any interest Chat Icon
