while I do shop at both stores for a large item purchase - like a TV or a Pool- I wouldn't go to either

walmart..at least the one by me in pa is great. we've never had any issues returning anything and the workers are helpful there.

the only walmart i will go into is the new one in farmingdale. i HATE walmart but they are good for cheap outdoor stuff that target doesn't always have.

I'd agree. Target has a pretty strict return policy.
Honestly - that's the only thing I'd choose Walmart over Target for.
As an aside, Wal-Mart wants to build a store by me over on Hospital Road near Brookhaven Hospital. Who thought that was a good location?

I would never step foot in a Walmart, so it would have to be Target. Walmarts policies all around are deplorable.
Walmart could be giving away items and I still would not step foot in one! I have some not so nice things to say about them. On the other hand, Target is fantastic  !

Walmart because they have a 100% unconditional money back guarantee so if you don't like the pool, or it's broken, they take it back with no questions asked. Target on the other hand..they probably won't allow you to return it. They will refer you to the manufacturer.

walmart hands down. i never want to step foot in target anymore--their return policy stinks! we bought a bookshelf 3 times from them and had to return them because every one was broken. we went to walmart and the first one we bought was perfect. target gave us such a hassle with returns

i have returned items to both walmart and target and had a fine experience, no problems at all
i went to walmart to actually return a gift, i do not shop there. i didn't have a receipt or gift receipt either and they were still good about the return

I LOVE Target....one of my favorite stores, but I have to say, they don't make returning things easy. I think Walmart has a friendlier return policy.
