just curious. I personally, wait until I'm a week late. I know that I am in the minority.

Wow! Now that takes discipline! If AF ever leaves me, and I get to try again, I will not be testing till I am late. Prior to this I would test at 10 DPO.

It's a bit different for me.
I go for a beta either way... so that would be 15 DPO.
I honestly though don't always think it's the best idea to wait until you're a week or 2 weeks late. You could go in for a beta and find out that you have low progesterone and get put on suppositories or something like that.. KWIM?
If you know when you ovulate and test 1 day after your normal LP, then those answers will be accurate.
