I cleaned it myself.
originally I thought about hiring a cleaner (and thinking about some of the homes we saw, for some it would have been a necessity  ) but our house was in great shape.
the previous owners took excellent care and had it cleaned regularly.
I didn't do much more than a very thorough cleaning and sanitizing, so it wouldn't have been worth the cash to pay someone.

we didn't hire anyone, but we also knew the seller hired a cleaning person b4 we came in. He had MS and knew he couldnt do the cleaning himself. But me and my mom still did some cleaning ourselves

Our house was a complete rehab, so when we moved in everything was brand new down to the studs.

We cleaned it. We also ripped the bathroom, kitchen and all the carpet out before we moved in so the things we would want to deep clean were replaced.
The previous owners had dogs so we did set off a few flea bombs in the basement. With the flea bombs and mom's Holy water we have been okay.

We cleaned it ourselves. The previous owners did a really great job cleaning so it wasn't that bad.

We did it all ourselves. But we also ripped out all the sheetrock and insulation, and replaced it, so we cleaned throughout the whole process.

We cleaned from ceiling to floor, every single wall and crevice before we even started some of the demno work we did. We did it all over again after the demo and then redid it again after the tiles/bathrooms were done. It took more than a month to do this, but was so worth it!

Neither.  It was already really clean. It had just been flipped so maybe that is why it didn't need to be cleaned at all.

We cleaned. I didn't realize how mad it was going to be--I should have enlisted more help or hired pros.
The previous owners had a cat & there was cat hair somehow stuck to all the blinds, and were weren't replacing them until we painted, so we had to wash them in the bathtub & DH had to steam clean the fridge.
It set our renovation plans back a lot.

We had a service. There was alot of work done inlcuding a new kitchen, work in the bathrooms and I couldn't handle doing it ourselves.
Once it was cleaned we moved in, but there was still cleaning that we had to do.

We are in contract on what is quite easily the nastiest house ever to hit the market, the current owner has not cleaned in a decade (at least), but I plan to scrub that beyotch down with my own two hands. It's my house, I want to do the work and know for sure it's clean!

I honestly do not remember cleaning anything when we moved in.
It was very clean already

The kitchen was brand new and never used.

Both. The carpets were professionally cleaned, and I had a cleaning woman come in and clean the entire place from top to bottom, and then as I was moving things in I cleaned again.

I hired a woman, she was great, cleaned everything and anything I wanted...I think I paid $120 per day. We had a professional come clean the carpets and tile floors.
