The tude
Why is it that whenever SS comes home from spending the weekend at BM's he comes home with major attitude?
He left on Fri and came home Sunday at 5, took a shower and expected to go out with his friends. Who cares if we haven't seen him all weekend??? DH said no so he sat there with a puss on his face and then when SIL and BIL came over for dinner, SS didn't even greet them when they came in. He sait ther on the couch and didn't even turn around. And then when SIL asked him about the job search he closed his eyes and tried to go back to his nap. SIL was like "are u listening to me" I wanted to slap him so bad! How rude!
Vent over

Re: The tude
That sucks!!
In your case, it sound like he was mad and throwing a tantrum over not being able to go out.
In my case 99% of the tiome it would be because BM f*ed with their heads right before they came over

Re: The tude
I really don't know what to do at this point.
BM actually tells SS that he doesn't have to listen to what DH says!!!.
I feel like crap most of the time b/c SS displays how unhappy he is living with us. When I tried to talk to him about his actions he replied with "idk why" then he told me that his mom thinks he does it to rebel against his dad b/c his dad took him away from her. Mind you DH did what every "father" would do and remove their child from a drug abuser. BM actually signed SS over to on the terms she didn't have to pay child support. Can you believe that?
He has all of the freedom he wants at BM's. His life is so unfair at our house.
Sometimes I wish he would just go to BM's and learn his life the hard way.

Re: The tude
Oh can I so relate! My SD's attitude and nasty mouth sometimes make me realize just how valuable my birth control is. LOL Does your DH address it? Mine does but then she tells him off and he apologizes for trying to reprimand her. It's seriously unbelievable.
I try to say to DH "how would your mom have handled you if you did that?" in an attempt to keep him in check. Sometimes it works but most times it doesn't. What I personally think is the most frustrating part is trying to have patience to deal. I have limited patience to begin with so this is definitely becoming the bane of my existence.

Re: The tude
when my SD lashes out my DH just sits there and takes it - I kid you not! We have had arguments over this...and she has said some pretty nasty things - which proved my point 3 years ago that the "lashing out" would get worse if you continue to keep quiet about it - and it has......so hard to deal with.
