How long do you get cramps before AF?

For the last 3-4 days, I have been experiencing the most excruciating PMS/AF cramps. I keep thinking "Ah - today must be the day" but still she is holding out on me.

Since I had a weird AF last month, I have no idea when she should be coming - I'm assuming around this week sometime, but these cramps are really bad - I never have gotten such bad cramps like this without AF showing up within the day or 2 - anyone else get them really early like this?

I've had cramps since Friday and still no AF...But this didn't happen the past 2 months off the BCP. Usually I get them the day of and then I know it's coming/here. Weird!!
