Meningitis
A co-worker of mine's BIL was hospitalized yesterday and she told us he was quarantined because they think he has meningitis. I am freaking out! Does anyone have any info on the disease and how long does the innoculation last? I know I needed one for college. TIA

There are different kinds of meningitis. Does she know if it was viral or bacterial? I got the shot in college too...unfortunately it only last a few years, maybe 5 and does not innoculate against all strands of meningitis. I dont think you really have anything to worry about b/c you didnt have direct contact with him.
