Frustrated with my insurance company
As you all know i'm going for 2 test on monday a CTA scan for the brain and CT scan for the brain and wednesday a Mri, WELL, This morning at 11 something i get a phone call from the place where i'm getting the test done telling me that I'm only approved for 1 Test on monday Not both!!!! What aggravates me is this the Dr office called and gave me the authorization number for all three test and all of a sudden today They tell me different!!! Why 3 days before i go you tell me this. I made all phone calls from The Dr. office who wanted these test done, To the Dr. office where i'm having it done on monday and wed, To my insurance company...
I explained the situation to the insurance people saying that "THEY" originally approved the tests and why are they saying different now? So I talked to a lady at the insurance company and she told me to have the Dr. call her on monday and they will 'Try' To approve the third test... Pray that it works out, Thank you.
To make my self clearer I'm approved for the CTA of the brain which is monday and The MRI on wed, The CT scan i'm having the problem with.

 dealing with trying to get (and keep! in your case) insurance authorizations can be SO frustrating!
I hope it all works out in your favor!!!!

Insurance companies cut corners money wise all the time when it comes to tests...my insurance has done the same to me.
My cardiologist wanted me to go for a full stress test with an echocardiogram and all. The insurance co. didnt approve it b/c it was more expensive. So I had to go for the basic stress test, which I failed, and than go back for the more extensive test. It was a PIA!!!! In the end it cost them more but the dr. told me they do this all the time hoping they'll save money here and there

Today i went for my tests and My insurance did approve the third test, I'm so glad because i want them over and done with, Thank you everyone for listening to me and sending prayers my way, You dont know how much "I' do appreciate them.
