Question for those who did IUI
My DR wants me to go through 2 more rounds of Clomid before starting IUI.
Im just curious to see how long it took for you to get pregnant when you started IUI?

I did 3 clomid/IUI cycles that all resulted in a BFN. I then did 2 injectable/IUI cycles. The first was a BFN and the second one resulted in a m/c. I have moved on to IVF.

I have done 3 IUI's w/ Clomid. 2 BFN. Just did IUI 3 yesterday so hopefully 3rd time is the charm.
I'm not sure how long u have been trying and whether or not u r seeing a RE...but those things sometimes determine the course of action.

I did 3 rounds of IUI and got BFP on the 3rd. Still in first trimester.

Your Dr, is it an OB or and RE? With me they wanted to do IUI right away as I have "slight" mucus issues. And she said Clomid makes the mucus even thicker and an IUI would bypass that.
Talk to your Dr about your concerns and if you still don't feel comfotable then go get a second opinion. Good Luck.

Be your own advocate if you don't feel you are getting the treatment you need. We never did clomid w/o monitoring and IUI. Ins. covered it fully and we were fine with it, so we went for it. The second cycle with trigger and b2b IUIs worked.

You probably don't want to hear this, but I have had 8 unsuccessful medicated IUI's....and as far as they know, our only issue is me not O'ing on my own.

I did 1 non-med IUI, BFN
1 IUI on Clomid- BFN
1 back to back IUI w/ Letrozole and trigger- BFN
1 back to back IUI w/ Letrozole, trigger and lovenox- BFP... I really think in my case, it was all about the lovenox
